The next generation SurePress touch screen is the main feature of the Blackberry Storm2 9550 commonly known as Storm2. SurePress is the new touch screen and by just tapping it, you can not only navigate smoothly and quickly but also type accurately. With SurePress, your finger acts as the mouse letting you scroll from application to application and when you find the desired application, just press down on the screen. The clicking sound from the screen confirms that your desired application has been opened. RIM introduced SurePress to put an end to the unintentional opening of apps and mistaken phone calls, a common problem with touch screens. SurePress offers you a choice between the portrait mode and the landscape mode. The Sure Type keyboard is featured in the portrait mode while the QWERTY keyboard can be accessed in the landscape mode. One does have to get use to the new SurePress touch screen, but once you get the hang of it, typing becomes pretty simple and error free.
The Blackberry Storm2 is the first to come with Wi-Fi. Though the BlackBerry Storm already had 3G, the addition of Wi-Fi speeds up the data transfer plus it is s an alternative way to get online when you are out of the 3G zone.
